November 11 at 11:00 am. Military officials and city dignitaries, including the mayor, gather in Devendorf Park to honor Veterans of the nation's wars with a ceremony and speeches. Afterward, the American Legion Post in Carmel hosts an open house, to which veterans, friends and family are welcome.
Take in the night sky with real astronomers to guide you. The Monterey Institute for Research in Astronomy hosts this incredible event on Hospitality Island in the lakebed. Telescopes of all shapes and sizes and astronomers are on hand to show some of the natural phenomenon happening above. All ages are welcome to join!
Meet us in the paddock by the main gate and walk, run, or wobble down the Corkscrew to earn that extra helping of stuffing. Bring non-perishable food items or $10 per person for donations to the Monterey County Food Bank. You can go around the track as many times as you'd like from 7 am - 11 am.
